IMG_1249

SMWS 36.129 (Benrinnes) | Sweetmeats in a Bedouin tent | 57.2 % | 1st Fill Ex-Redwine hogshead | 14 years old

Situation: At the Bon Accord

Nose: honey, flowery, vanilla custard, cinnamon,

Taste: honey sweet entry, waxy mouthfeel, baking spices, salt, vanilla, oranges, cinnamon,

Finish: bright wood, vanilla, flowery honey, a bit salt, baking spice

Conclusion: A quite nice dram, but I have to confess that I was more focused on the company. So take my notes with what ever amount of salt suits you.

Never would have guessed it’s an ex Redwine cask though!

Score: B/B+ so 87/100
